This is truly a sad news from MTN it seems they are withdrawing some cheap offers they gave to users in the past. weeks ago they stopped the Tarrif called Trutalk+, now they stopped the xtracool midnight calls.
Whats going on i can remember how useful this midnight call was to me in my school days.
This is what MTN has to say about this:
"Please cascade to the associates that MTN happy hour call (Freenight call) which started October 2006 has been discontinued effect tonight, as directed by NCC. Hence, all happy hours calls will be billed from tonight.
Thank you."
Before now, users with a minimum of N100 in their airtime balance, can engage in free night calls from 12:30AM to 4:30AM but going forward, that has been discontinued. Calls within that period (happy hour) will attract normal charges. Despite the facts that NCC has lifted regulatory ban on MTN for several infraction, this is not the change users bargain for. Mtn has to bring out new offers to retain users to aviod porting to other network by there customers.

Don't know why sometimes this f**cking NCC used to blocks a chance for Nigerian . everyone is waiting for that day to come before NCC dispreciatd the offer without a gunuine and valid reason
If we were not getting this type of offer then NCC should have talk to this Network Providers. they are taking our money irregular, they need to compensate us.
