Man Utd end a difficult week with another damaging defeat against newly-promoted Bournemouth.
To concede a goal after a minute was an awful start for such a young team. But regardless of age, United were made to pay for shipping two more goals from set pieces. Josh King’s goal – which turned out to be the winner – was particularly poor from United’s point of view.
The starting back four might have had an average age of 21 but they should have been able to better defend a corner. Overall, the young players weren’t the problem and another defeat is just evidence of where United are at the moment. Struggling.
