An extra-time Thiago Silva header saw Paris Saint-Germain knock Chelsea out of the Champions league and book their place in the quarter finals by virtue of the away goals rule after a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday

The French champions reduced to 10 men after Zlatan Ibrahimovic's controversial half sending off-twice came from behind in the last-16 tie with their two away goals decisive in 3-3 aggregate draw.
Gary Cahill opened the scoring in the 81st minute with a crisp volley, but David Luiz swiftly equalised to force extra-time, before Thiago Silva conceded a penalty by handing the ball in his own box.
Eden Hazard coolly converted the spot kick, but PSG would not be denied and Silva atoned for the 114th minute to knock the host out of the competition.
